Terms of Service

1. Provider

The service is provided by Huuman Life GmbH, c/o Yilmaz, Türkenstr. 92, 80799 München, Germany, registered with Amtsgericht München under HRB 311065. Managing Directors: Joshua Cornelius and Mehmet Yilmaz. Contact: support@huuman.life.

2. Acceptance and changes

By creating an account, signing in with Apple, or using huuman in any way, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

We may update these Terms when laws change, when we add or modify features, or to clarify how the service works. When a change materially affects you, we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use huuman in the EU/EEA, and at least the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction elsewhere. By using huuman you confirm that you meet these requirements and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you use huuman on behalf of someone else (for example, a coaching client), you confirm you have their permission and that they meet the eligibility requirements above.

4. Medical disclaimer (important)

huuman is an AI coach, not a doctor, therapist, dietitian, physiotherapist, or medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Nothing the coach says is medical advice, a prescription, or a substitute for professional clinical judgment.

You must consult a qualified clinician before:

• Starting a new training program, especially if you have any cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, metabolic, or other condition that exercise could affect;
• Making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have a known eating disorder, diabetes, food allergies, or are pregnant or breastfeeding;
• Changing or stopping any medication, supplement, or therapy;
• Acting on coaching during pregnancy, while recovering from surgery or injury, or while managing a chronic condition.

In an emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in the EU, 911 in the US, 999 in the UK) immediately. huuman is not designed to respond to emergencies and may not be available when you need it most.

You are solely responsible for evaluating whether any coaching suggestion is safe and appropriate for you and for the consequences of acting on it.

5. How the service works

huuman uses AI language models (currently Anthropic Claude) to generate coaching responses based on data you share with us: your onboarding answers, your chat messages, your Apple Health data (if you authorize it), and any data you log in the app.

• AI suggestions, not commands. The coach produces recommendations. You decide whether to follow them. The coach can be wrong, miss context, or misunderstand. Treat its output with the same critical eye you would apply to a fitness magazine, a friend with strong opinions, or a generic internet search.
• Reality-anchored, not omniscient.We try to ground coaching in data you actually share. Quality of coaching depends on quality of data. If your Apple Health data is incomplete, the coach's picture of you will be too.
• Not a continuous-monitoring system. huuman does not monitor your health in real time and will not alert you to medical risks. It is a coaching companion, not a safety net.

6. Your account

• We use Sign in with Apple for authentication. You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID secure.
• You may have only one personal account. Sharing or selling accounts is not permitted.
• You can delete your account at any time via Profile → Privacy → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, or behave in ways that endanger other users or our infrastructure.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use huuman to harm yourself or others, or in ways that violate any law;
• Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or reproduce the AI system, our prompts, or our coaching content;
• Scrape, automate, or otherwise interact with huuman outside the normal app and API in ways that overload or destabilize the service;
• Submit content that is illegal, harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights;
• Bypass rate limits, age gates, or other protective mechanisms;
• Pretend to be someone else or misrepresent material facts (e.g., your age) when creating an account.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you put into huuman: your messages, photos, logs, and goals. To run the service, you grant Huuman Life GmbH a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, and display your content solely to operate the service for you and to share it with the sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy. This licence ends when you delete your account, except where law requires us to keep specific records longer.

We may use de-identified, aggregated information (e.g., that 30% of users hit their sleep target last week) for product analytics and to improve coaching quality. We do not train AI models on your individual content without your explicit consent.

9. Limitation of liability

huuman is offered "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law, Huuman Life GmbH excludes all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, and uninterrupted availability.

Where you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, our liability is determined by §§ 280, 282 BGB and the limits the law sets. We are fully liable for: (a) damages from injury to life, body, or health caused by our intentional or negligent breach of duty; (b) damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence; (c) damages caused by negligent breach of a material contractual obligation (i.e., one whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of this contract possible and on whose observance you may reasonably rely), limited to typical, foreseeable damages; and (d) liability under the German Produkthaftungsgesetz and any other mandatory statutory liability. Liability beyond that is excluded.

Because huuman is a coaching tool and not a medical device or professional service, we are not liable for outcomes from decisions you make in response to coaching suggestions, including but not limited to physical injuries, dietary outcomes, sleep outcomes, or psychological responses, except within the boundaries of the paragraph above.

10. Price and payment

huuman is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features or subscriptions in the future, the pricing and terms will be clearly presented before you commit and payments will be processed by Apple via in-app purchase, governed by Apple's own terms.

11. Termination

You can stop using huuman at any time. Deleting your account ends this agreement. We may also end this agreement immediately for serious breaches of these Terms, repeated abusive behaviour, or where required by law. Provisions that by their nature survive (intellectual property, liability, governing law) will continue after termination.

12. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Where you are a consumer with habitual residence in another EU member state, mandatory consumer protection rules of that state continue to apply.

For disputes with merchants, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Munich, Germany. For consumers, jurisdiction is determined by statute.

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obligated and not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. The invalid provision will be replaced by one that comes as close as legally possible to its original purpose.
